FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
The Friends were established in l969. The friends are a group of people of the community interested in libraries and convinced that library service is important to all, whose primary aim is "selling" their library to the community. The Friends of the Library are interested in awakening the community at large to a more comprehensive understanding of the library, to stimulating widespread use of its outstanding collection and services, and to encouraging active and financial support for the needs of the library.
Dues: $3.00 single member/$5.00 family (dues run April to April).
Annual Meeting: January. New trustees are elected at this time.
Hours:
Holidays: Watch for announcements for holiday closings. When the Greenwich Schools are closed due to inclement weather so is the library.
DIRECTIONS:
From the Nothway (I 87): Take Exit 14 off the Northway. Follow signs for Rte. 29 East through Schuylerville into Greenwich. The Greenwich Free Library is located in the center of the village on Rte. 29 across from Mowry Park.
Monday 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Wednesday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Friday 1 to 5 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Closed Sat. during June, July & August
